1920s Charlestonis the dance of the Roaring 20s, and conjures images of flapper girls and dapper gentleman in tuxedos, dancing wild and crazy loose-limbed steps. The Charleston, although almost 100 years old, is alive and well today in the form of "shuffling", which is a modern day adaptation of this old dance. Michael Jackson was well versed in the Charleston footwork and used it in his seminal Grammy performance in 1983. This dance belongs to the Prohibition Era, or the era of the Great Gatsby, and is perfect to accompany any events with such themes or setups.
